Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the articles you are writing for the Times Colonist. I work for the hospital on Salt Spring Island in fund development. It is always great to see this kind of information published. It really assists donors to understand their various options and highlights the importance of supporting the community through charitable giving.

It is the first article I’ve read that explained clearly and concisely what an income trusts are and the tax issue that led to the Fed’s action.There has been a lot of press about this, but yours is the best article I’ve read, in that it was easy to read and understand.

I just want to compliment you and the Times Colonist on an excellent series of columns written by Kevin & Keith Greenard. I cut out most columns and save them for future reference because they are easy to understand and well written. I also contacted them via email regarding the sharing pensions column published on Tuesday, April 24th. I received both an email reply and a personal telephone call by the end of business that day which I appreciated.
